Not long after I could walk, my parents mounted skis to my feet. I have not missed one winter since. I have always had the love for outdoor athletics and the determination to push my abilities. When the snow is not falling, I am an avid mountain biker, fly fisherman, and rock climber. The fast-paced, adrenaline-filled sports and the moments of solitude in between keep me in the outdoors.

As a photographer, I use my images as a tool to capture the moments of deep connection to outdoor sports and the exploration of our limits. Out of curiosity, I engaged in a photography course in high school. I discovered how photography allows new stories to develop from the frozen action and shared my love for outdoor sports with others. When I photograph, I see more than just a person in the outdoors; I see people exploring what they love. 

People are unpredictable subjects, which makes for even more unique photographs. In my images, I search for the raw energy that comes from outdoor activities. There is a certain contrast between natural human expressions of grit, which is both captivating and profound. I chase these moments to express my interest and connection to being an outdoor athlete. I wish to share my excitement for outdoor sports with everyone else. 

Through experience and my enjoyment of the outdoors, I discovered the key to creating images with more connection. Being present is a major part of photography. I have found that immersing myself in the same sport as my subject creates even more immersive photographs.
